DLSU beats ADMU for last finals slot
http://inquirerbloggers.net/sportsaficionado/2007/10/01/archers-sew-up-win-that-matters-most/
-okay, i really got sad by this.. tama ba grammar.. hehe.. basta nakakalungkot tlga.. since UP got x-14.. ADMU ang next in line for the teams that I support in UAAP (kaya nga annoyed ang UST friends ko, esp Daphne, hahaha, kasi daw siya UP after USTe or something like that, haha).. mahirap man aminin but I agree with the two things that Coach Franz Pumaren, DLSU coach, said after that 5th and final ADMU-DLSU game (Sept. 30, '07) for this season.. 1) "They (Ateneo players) looked tired. 2) "This is the only case where two is greater than three." That is because, Admu won in the 1st two elimination round games, La salle won in their fight for the twice to beat advantage. Admu won in the first pre-finals game and since La salle has a twice to beat advantage, there was another pre-finals game, La Salle securing the slot to the finals. I'd just like to take note that Chris Tiu was actually the one who "sealed" the 3 wins that ADMU has against DLSU. Too bad his 3 pts shot didn't work in the last game, the most crucial of all. But I still admire him, hehe. Pero, sayang tlga. Oh well, like what Paula said, at least the teams in this year's finals are not the same teams from last year's. For the finals, I'm supporting UE!!! With their several "heartbreaks" they've been through for hardly being able to enter the finals in years, I think now is their time to shine esp with their 14-0 eliminations sweep. Plus, I very much admire Dindo Pumaren as coach.
Benjamin Abalos resigns as Chair of Comelec

- Like some Filipinos, I don't know what to believe anymore. I'm still waiting for further events and I just pray one thing, for the truth to be set out and for corruption to end but just some time ago, the Philippines was named as one of the most corrupt countries in the world today. It's very disappointing. I remember what Mrs. de Venecia (wife of House Speaker JDV), said that even the young get corrupted when they enter politics and that "It's sickening. Don't you wisk you have honest people and leaders?" Exactly.
Dennis Trillo - father of Carlene Aguilar's baby
http://www.igma.tv/story/2237/Dennis-Trillo-Baby-ko-naman-iyon
- This is what I was referring to when I'll probably include some showbiz news to MOON, haha. Quite a number of my family and relatives know that I have a huge crush on Dennis before, haha, especially when we were still a Kapuso fan in our house. When I knew that his girlfriend is/was Carlene Aguilar is also from UP, wala lang, natuwa lang din ako, hehe. But now, they already have a child kahit hindi pa sila married? When it comes to this, I know where I stand. It's sin to have sex before marriage. Sadly, one of the most common news and tsismis I get nowadays are this and that getting pregnant, and yes, unmarried. I do know that God's heart is breaking over this, especially that people seem to accept it as normal and "okay lang, ganun talaga eh".
Jovito Salonga resigns as SR member

- I admire him for that. With what happened to Cris Mendez, a said victim of hazing of the said frat, the former Senate said that at the time he joined SR, there was no hazing as pre-requisite to admission and that his name was probably used in recruiting more members. He hopes that with his resignation he could also somehow alleviate the burden that the Mendez family is bearing right now. I guess Mr. Salonga really hasn't changed at all. He's still one smart man, just as years before.
$1.7 million for the University of the Philippines

- Of course I'd like to end things with a more positive note! Yey! Now at least we have funds now that the centennial celebration is coming very soon, and the UAAP hosting also! haha.. Lord, sana po meron din single person na magdonate ng $500,000 for Word of Hope.. just like what happened to UP.. hehe.. that someone donated the same amount, a UP alumni in America.
I always tell myself "Pag ako yumaman, I'll support this and that.." and yes, actually the list includes, UP, xempre naman, hehe. Kaya.. I should start studying harder.. now! haha.
